  1. This is a HUGE update from the previous version that was published in this “News” section, and one of the biggest Rom Hacking projects out there. The bosses Rat King and Karai are now fully integrated into the game, as if they were always intended to be played! This is essentially Street Fighter’s “Champion Edition” equivalent to TMNT: Tournament Fighters. The two boss characters have been fully balanced to be even with the rest of the cast; their move sets have been fully fleshed out giving them a lot more new normal attacks and even light/heavy variants on their special moves; there are now huge graphical updates to include their body portraits on the character select s…

  2. Started by Rockstar,

After a period of inactivity, the final version of Sonic Vol.2 has been released. This iteration represents a significant update, incorporating all v1.6 improvements that could not be published in the past, in addition to several new features. Feature Highlights: Implementation of dedicated sprites for all Super Sonic actions and the porting of animations to a high-performance engine for increased fluidity. Completion of Scrap Brain Zone featuring unique mechanics, alongside a comprehensive redesign of Labyrinth Zone to prioritize fluid gameplay. Integration of variable jump physics, enemy bouncing mechanics, and an optimized Spin Dash. Giant Bonus Rings have also been ad…

  3. Capcom has a variety of beloved franchises that haven't seen much in the way of new entries as of late. A financial report from Capcom looking back on 2025 shows that the company did well, due to the successes of new Resident Evil, Street Fighter, and Monster Hunter titles. The higher-ups at the company, however, believe that Capcom needs to have more frequent entries into some of its more stagnant IPs in order to continue growing in the years ahead. Specifically, it looks like we'll be seeing remakes, new games, and ports of three series in the future: Ace Attorney, Devil May Cry, and Mega Man. Capcom also plans to expand on one of its development offices by 2027, leadin…

  4. Started by Rockstar,

This one’s for all you Black Mages out there. A number of Black Mage weapons (and stats!) have received well-earned love, along with something new - a major overhaul to boss magic resistance. Black Mage/Blue Rose will finally be able to play a greater role beyond buffing their colleagues during boss fights! Also, there are a few Dryad buffs…just to make sure she’s as spritely as can be. “Another release so soon,” you ask? Well yes, but this one is special. It marks a major turning point for the project - the ending. It is time to move on. While new ideas and minor fixes will transition to being collected over time, please note - bug reports AND feedback will still be read…

  5. Ten weeks after it was first announced, the bumper Gran Turismo 7 Spec III update is now available to players worldwide, bringing a host of new content and features to get to grips with. If you didn’t check in ahead of time and missed out on the preload — only the second time a GT7 update has been available this way — you’re looking at an update of a hair under 9GB on PS4 and just over 15GB on PS5, somewhat reflecting the very different contents on the two consoles. Of course we did hear quite a bit about the Spec III update and the Power Pack DLC in yesterday’s announcements alongside the preload, but there’s always finer details missing until the update goes live and th…

  6. After what feels like the longest two months in the game’s life to date, Gran Turismo 7’s Spec III update is now available as a preload ahead of being unlocked on December 4. It’s only the second time we’ve seen a preload available for a Gran Turismo 7 update, with the previous being the 1.54 update last November that brought PS5 Pro enhancements. That was a 32GB monster, while Spec III is a comparatively slim 15GB on PS5 and a daintier 9GB on PS4 — but still comfortably on the podium of biggest updates. The December 4 date is one we’ve been expecting for a good long while, but has now been confirmed both by Kazunori Yamauchi and other official game channels by way of the…

  7. As it's almost the case with every big Nintendo release, the next big upcoming title from Nintendo, Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, has been leaked online ahead of release. However, the leak didn't come in a date that many people expected. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is set to release tomorrow, December 4th, for both Nintendo Switch 1 and Nintendo Switch 2, with the Nintendo Switch 1 version of the game having leaked online today. However, in contrast with previous big Nintendo releases, this leak came just a day prior from the official release of the game, while previously, huge Nintendo releases were known to be leaked several days, if not weeks ahead of release, making the title…

  8. The Pokémon Company had revealed another new Mega Evolution from Pokémon Legends: Z-A‘s upcoming DLC, Mega Dimension. Mega Lucario Z has appeared! The group also revealed a new extra side mission, allowing players to catch the Legendary Mewtwo. Mega Lucario Z is a newly discovered form of Lucario. It was determined to be a Mega Evolution because of how its form changes through exposure to a Mega Stone and how its increase in power far outshines your average Lucario. Now, Mega Lucarios are already present in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, but this Mega Lucario Z is new to the DLC. Z Mega Evolutions, such as this one, need less time to fire off moves but burn through Mega Power ver…

  9. After many years revisiting Final Fantasy X-2, I decided to fulfill an old dream: to bring an English translation of the International version to the PS2. This game never had an official English version on the PS2, although an HD Remaster version was later released for the PS Vita and PS3. This was the initial inspiration for me to accept this challenge, the goal was simple, but ambitious. The path to get there wasn't easy. Anyone who has ventured into PS2 modding knows that it tests our patience, our creativity, and, above all, our persistence. Countless nights were spent studying structures, testing, correcting, and trying again, but I had help from very important peo…

  10. A brand-new set of Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges is now available — or over the next few hours, depending on how west you live — in likely the final set before the switch-up brought about by the impending Spec III update. Weekly Challenges are a bonus game mode, made available once you’ve finished the main GT Cafe career, and currently offering a selection of five World Circuits races for you to tackle. Four of them are existing events, with a fifth “Special Event” created just for the week. You’ll earn additional rewards, alongside the credits for your finishing positions in each race, with more lucrative gifts the more you complete within the seven-day window. Gran T…

  11. It’s now been confirmed that the bumper Gran Turismo 7 Spec III update will be arriving in the first week of December, exactly as we’ve been suspecting for a little while now. Spec III has been in the works for some time, with the most-recent game update being the 1.63 patch sent out in late September. Shortly thereafter, off the back of the GTWS Berlin event, series creator Kazunori Yamauchi announced the surprise Spec III update. We’ve known quite a bit about it for a while, with that initial teaser revealing four of the eight — yes, eight — new cars, and two brand-new circuits making their series debut, and some more coming to light since. There’s also been a few featu…

  12. A new ROM hack adds full 60FPS support to the GBA classic Mario Kart: Super Circuit. While the game has always rendered at 60FPS, Nintendo originally updated the track rotation at only 30FPS, causing a mismatch between the sprites, backgrounds, and the Mode-7-style track. This new hack updates the track rotation to 60FPS as well, creating a fully cohesive gameplay experience with no extra performance hit. Source MKSC60fps.zip

  13. GOG is working hard at bringing back a lot of great titles, be it classic or modern, into their library, and not only that, they are also adding them to their own Preservation Program, which aims to make titles released on their service available for posterity, with the buyer having complete ownership of the product that they buy. One of the most recent additions to the GOG Preservation Program is the title "Cold Fear", a third person survival horror title published by Ubisoft for the PlayStation 2, Xbox and PC back in 2005, amidst the craze of the original Resident Evil 4, with many people comparing Cold Fear to RE4, even though both titles were released during the same…

  14. The NES and Game Boy Classics apps have both now been absorbed into the new — and very tidy — 'Classics' department with the new Nintendo Switch Online app updates, making everything nice and streamlined for retro gaming fans to dive into. Besides the addition of a couple of new games for each system to boot, and the new ability to remap controls, there is another improvement lurking in the latest updates which may have flown a little more under your radar. Yes, and as you can see from our screenshots, the CRT filter in both apps has now been updated with a newer CRT filter in line with that found in the rest of the library's offerings. So, you've got rounded edges on the…

  15. This week, another beloved title has joined the Parthenon of decompiled titles, although this time, it's not an N64 title that made it into the decompilation milestone, but rather the first party swansong title for the Gamecube, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. In a similar instance to that of N64 titles that have previously been decompiled, once the project reaches 100% completion, all of the game assets and functions will be reproduceable in a 1:1 matching against the original game's files in their original compiled format. Like in the case of other decompilations by the team behind the Zelda decompilation projects, ZeldaRET (Zelda Reverse Engineering Team), th…

  16. Over the past four years, we - the LNH team - have been working hard on a project that some of you guys may have already heard about: an open-source flashcart that supports the DS, DSi and 3DS (in DSi mode), by the name of DSpico. The project evolved from a simple flashcart, to a collection of individual components that work together. Each component has been separated in their own repositories, and can be modified to your liking. Each repository comes with their own README's and documentation. The DSpico project consists of the following components: DSpico Hardware - The hardware of the DSpico. DSpico Firmware - The firmware for the DSpico. DSpico Bootloader - Bootloade…

  17. If you’re into Japanese board games, you may have heard of MAGI’s beloved Magical board game series. There are over 11 games/expansion packs in the series now, including Magical Bakery, Magical Patisseries, and Magical Kingdom. Now, MAGI has hired Neotro (which has developed shmup, shooting, action, and puzzle games, so an odd choice?) to create the first digital game in the series. Magical Princess is a child-rearing/daughter-raising game that combines fatherhood and fairy tales. Today, a demo for the title launched via Steam. MAGI also revealed the game’s second trailer, which showcases its voice cast and characters. Will Alice become known as the best student that the …

  18. After three weeks of procrastinating life goals, Mentil has come back with a new hack – this time for the classic GBA simulation about achieving life goals, Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town. The original was notorious for having a poorly-edited English translation by Natsume, and this hack aims to rectify that by editing and proofreading its script. This was done with the help of the HMMT Dumper/Inserter tool by Pinguimbozo. This even includes all of the TV programs included in the game, which constitute over half its script. NPC names and some items were renamed to be truer to the original Japanese, as well as to match those in the remake. A straggler line of Japane…

The remake will feature all-new backgrounds and character art, and will have new story events. Steins;Gate Re:Boot will be releasing sometime in 2026, with the only currently confirmed platform as Steam. Source

  22. Fortnite has seemingly become the go-to place for crossovers, with everyone from Solid Snake to Mariah Carey making an appearance in the online game. Its latest trailer teases the Chapter 6 Finale Event, and it's an unsettling realization of its crossover ambitions, showcasing Godzilla, King Kong, Homer Simpson, and Kill Bill's 'The Bride'. Oh, and some Star Wars X-Wings, too. We can't help but feel a keen sense of bemusement watching the action unfold – yes, crossovers in Fortnite is hardly a new concept, but it's just all so weird, y'know..? Kill Bill is especially jarring. Of course, the upcoming release of Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair – which combines both movie…

  24. Sony has pushed a new update live to the Welcome Hub app on PS5 that adds a new widget with extra stat tracking on it, as well as a seasonal animated background that changes throughout the year. On our UK PSN account, the update is live now and you'll be alerted to the new widget and background. When you add the widget, which is called Recently Played, your latest played game will be displayed along with the total number of hours, how many sessions you've had, and your overall game progress. Then, the new animated background is linked to the current season and time of year. At the moment, it has an autumnal feel with leaves falling from trees. This will cycle through win…
