Rockstar Games has launched a limited-time Shark Card promotion in GTA Online, giving players a chance to pad their in-game bank accounts before The Kortz Center Heist update arrives later this month. The timing isn't a coincidence — big content drops like this one traditionally come with pricey new vehicles, weapons, and properties, and Rockstar has a history of rolling out Shark Card deals shortly beforehand.
The Offer
Players who purchase a Great White Shark, Whale Shark, or Megalodon Shark Card will receive a 40% bonus in GTA$ on top of the card's normal value, at no extra cost. Here's how the numbers break down:
Great White Shark Card: $1,500,000 → $2,100,000 (600K free)
Whale Shark Card: $4,250,000 → $5,950,000 (600K free)
Megalodon Shark Card: $10,000,000 → $14,000,000 (4M free)
How to Claim It

The bonus isn't automatic — players need to activate it first. To do so:
Visit the official GTA Online offer page on Rockstar's website and sign in.
Look for the "Get 40% Bonus GTA$ on Qualifying Shark Cards" section and hit Claim Now.
This must be done by 11:59 PM ET on July 22, 2026.
Once claimed, players have until 11:59 PM ET on August 5, 2026 to actually buy the Shark Cards that qualify for the bonus. The offer is capped at the next five Shark Card purchases after claiming.
Worth noting: GTA+ members normally get a 15% bonus on Shark Card purchases, but that doesn't stack with this promotion — it simply gets replaced by the 40% rate for those first five qualifying purchases. Also, as with any Shark Card purchase, the GTA$ and bonus funds can take up to 72 hours to land in players' Maze Bank accounts.
The overall purchase window for bonus-eligible cards runs through August 6, 2026.
Why It Matters
With The Kortz Center Heist expected to bring another expensive round of unlocks, gear, and prep costs, this bonus gives players a way to stock up on in-game cash ahead of time — something Rockstar has leaned on before major content updates in the past.
