A new batch of GTA 6 gameplay details has surfaced from an extended interview between IGN and Rob Nelson, Rockstar Games' Head of Development and Co-Studio Head. IGN was shown a live play session, with Nelson answering questions as he moved through a section of the game.
A strange encounter in a dumpster
The first notable moment came as Nelson played as Lucia and ran into a man in a dumpster. The scene offers a choice: hand him some pills or walk away. Players who return later can get legal advice from him, and they can also climb into the dumpster with him. The encounter was unscripted, which fits Rockstar's long habit of filling its worlds with odd, optional moments.
Showers confirmed, with nudity
Right after that scene, Nelson switched to Jason, who was in the shower and naked. This confirms that GTA 6 includes shower scenes with nudity, though the interview gives no further detail on how or where players will see them.
Texting and calling between the leads

The biggest systems news is how far communication between the protagonists goes. While you play as one of them, you can text or call the other at any time. IGN saw Lucia answer a message from Jason with "Sweet, I'll come to you."
Those exchanges also feed into the relationship between the two. Players are free to spend an entire day apart, but the other character may check in. In one example, they text that they're heading to bed and locking up, and ask if you're okay. A short reply, such as "Ok, goodnight" or "I'll see you later," keeps things fine. Ignoring the message will chip away at their connection, though only slightly.
Social media is look-only
In-game social media works differently. Players can follow accounts and browse posts, but can't post updates as Jason or Lucia.
What to take from it
None of this changes the basic picture of GTA 6, but it adds depth to the two-protagonist setup. The relationship system now has small day-to-day consequences instead of resting only on story missions. Rockstar hasn't said how much a neglected relationship matters over a full playthrough.
GTA 6 is scheduled for release on November 19. Source: IGN's interview with Rob Nelson.
