Posted Tuesday at 04:28 PM2 days The Kortz Center Heist has officially arrived in GTA Online, and Rockstar Games has confirmed exactly how much space players will need to clear out to install it across every supported platform. The update went live on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, bringing with it the game's new art gallery heist, a purchasable Art Studio, fresh vehicles, and a batch of gameplay changes. Players on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S had the option to pre-load the update ahead of time, letting them jump straight into the new content the moment it unlocked rather than waiting on a day-one download.Download sizes by platformAccording to the confirmed figures, the update comes in at roughly 1.9GB on PS5 and 5.11GB on Xbox Series X|S. On PC, the size varies depending on which storefront is being used to download the game — the Rockstar Games Launcher version of GTA V: Enhanced sits at around 4.43GB, while Steam and Epic Games Store users are looking at a much lighter 1.4GB download. Rockstar has not yet published official figures for PS4 or Xbox One at the time of release. The gap between the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S file sizes has raised a few eyebrows among players, but it comes down to how each platform handles patching. PS5 relies on block-level delta patching, which only replaces the specific portions of existing files that have actually changed. Xbox Series X|S, on the other hand, requires full-file replacement for anything that's been modified, resulting in a noticeably larger patch even though the underlying new content is identical across both consoles.A modest download for a major updateDespite headlining what could be one of the last major content drops of GTA Online's current era, the update's relatively small footprint makes sense in context. The Kortz Center itself isn't new — the art gallery has existed on the Los Santos map since GTA V originally launched back in 2013. Rather than building out a new location from scratch, Rockstar is unlocking an existing landmark and layering new missions, characters, and heist mechanics on top of it, which keeps the file size down compared to past content-heavy updates. To take part in the new heist, players first need to purchase a Mansion and upgrade it with the new Art Studio addition, which doubles as a base of operations for the score and a front for producing forged copies of the paintings being stolen.Rockstar has confirmed this won't be the last word on the update — additional vehicle prices, patch notes, and previously unreleased content are expected to roll out over the coming weeks as part of the update's dripfeed period.
