Rockstar Games has released a fresh piece of key art for Grand Theft Auto VI just weeks ahead of the game's next major reveal, giving fans their first proper look at protagonists Jason and Lucia together outside of a gas station.

The artwork, officially titled "Jason and Lucia: The Heist" (with the underlying file named "Jason and Lucia Robbery"), depicts the pair standing in front of a petrol station and arrives alongside confirmation of what is effectively GTA 6 Trailer 3 — though Rockstar is branding it as Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look. Multiple versions of the image have been made available, including both logo and logo-free variants across several aspect ratios, giving fans flexibility to use the art as wallpaper or social media banners regardless of device.

A Netflix-first premiere

The bigger story tied to this art drop is where fans will be able to watch the new footage first. In a surprising move, Rockstar has partnered with Netflix to give the streaming service exclusive early access to the extended gameplay look. The trailer is set to premiere on Thursday, August 27th at 3PM ET / 8PM BST — a full six hours before it becomes available anywhere else.

That head start means anyone hoping to be among the very first to see the new footage will need an active Netflix subscription, a notable shift in how Rockstar has traditionally rolled out marketing materials for the game.

What's next

With the countdown to August 27th now underway, expect a fresh wave of speculation over what the extended gameplay look will reveal — from mission structure to map details to further glimpses of Vice City. In the meantime, the new artwork gives fans something to dissect and share while they wait.

Grand Theft Auto VI remains set for release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
