Here's the article, with headline options first.
GTA 6 has a new billboard, and it's about 200 feet long. A Goodyear blimp wrapped in Vice City branding has left its hangar in Ohio and is heading for Florida.
Photos of the airship started appearing this week in the Goodyear Blimp Fan Club Facebook group. The aircraft is Wingfoot Three (N3A), a Goodyear Zeppelin NT, and it now carries GTA VI livery. Group member Rebecca Trussel posted the first shot, showing the words VICE CITY across the side of the envelope. Cecil Richmond and Jim Cassatt followed with pictures of the blimp both inside and outside its hangar.
Roger Durfee caught the departure itself. His photos show the airship rising into the air, with the GTA VI logo visible on its underside.
According to James W. Ward, Wingfoot Three is flying from the Goodyear Airdock in Akron, Ohio to Pompano Beach, Florida, a short distance from Miami. Neither Rockstar Games nor Goodyear has commented on the campaign yet. We'll update this story if either does.
A fitting vehicle for Vice City
The blimp is a natural match for the game. One appears in GTA VI's first trailer, which has led many fans to expect a flyable airship in the finished game. Blimps have a long history in the series. Grand Theft Auto V's Atomic Blimp, a pre-order bonus at launch, was modeled on the real-world Goodyear airship. GTA Online later added the Xero Blimp, and players can put DJ livery and other ads on blimps tied to their nightclubs.
The stunt arrives as the marketing push for GTA 6 ramps up, with the game set to launch on November 19. Rockstar has already tied the game to Miami with a Heat "Vice City" game night and merchandise, so a Goodyear blimp circling South Florida fits the pattern.
More GTA 6 news
Alongside the blimp, about 25 minutes of GTA 6 gameplay has reportedly leaked, including first-person driving and walking. Rockstar has also officially released three new screenshots.
