Posted Tuesday at 02:23 AM4 days Capcom has a variety of beloved franchises that haven't seen much in the way of new entries as of late. A financial report from Capcom looking back on 2025 shows that the company did well, due to the successes of new Resident Evil, Street Fighter, and Monster Hunter titles. The higher-ups at the company, however, believe that Capcom needs to have more frequent entries into some of its more stagnant IPs in order to continue growing in the years ahead. Specifically, it looks like we'll be seeing remakes, new games, and ports of three series in the future: Ace Attorney, Devil May Cry, and Mega Man. Capcom also plans to expand on one of its development offices by 2027, leading to hiring more employees to work on these theoretical games.Capcom owns a wealth of globally popular brands, such as Mega Man, Devil May Cry, and Ace Attorney. We aim to expand our user base and improve our performance through new releases, remakes, and ports of titles in these series to new hardware. By enhancing brand power and cultivating loyal fan bases, we will grow these into core IPs. Source
