100-completion.jpg

Getting 100% in San Andreas is one of the most rewarding challenges in gaming. It's a massive undertaking, but the key is to work smart, not just hard.

Here are the most important tips you need to know to conquer the 100% challenge.

🏆 The 100% Rewards

First, the payoff. For achieving 100% completion, you will be permanently rewarded with:

  • $1,000,000

  • Infinite Ammo for all weapons

  • Double Vehicle Strength for any vehicle you drive

  • A Rhino tank will spawn under the bridge on Grove Street

  • A Hydra (attack jet) will spawn on the roof of Sweet's house

Tip #1: Know What is NOT Required

This is the most important tip. Don't waste dozens of hours on tasks that don't count toward the 100% goal.

You can SKIP the following:

  • Girlfriends: You do NOT need to date all girlfriends or get any of them to 100%. The only girlfriend-related missions that are required are the ones with Denise and Millie, which are part of the main story.

  • Gang Territories: You do NOT need to take over all 57 gang territories. You only need to capture 35% of the total area (roughly 20 territories) to unlock the final story missions.

  • Burglary Missions: The "infinite sprint" reward for stealing $10,000 is great, but the Burglary side-mission itself is NOT required for 100%.

  • Unique Stunt Jumps: All 70 jumps are NOT required.

  • Hitman Level: You do NOT need to get "Hitman" rank on all your weapons.

  • Gym Stats: You only need to learn the fighting moves from the 3 gyms. You do NOT need to max out your muscle or stamina stats.

  • "Yay Courier" missions in San Fierro are NOT required.

🚑 Tip #2: Do Vehicle Missions Early (and in the Right Place)

The R3 (Vigilante, Paramedic, Firefighter) missions are notoriously hard, but their rewards are game-changing. Do them as early as possible.

  • Paramedic (Level 12): This is the hardest one. You must do all 12 levels in one run.

    • Pro-Tip: Do this mission in Angel Pine, the small town in Whetstone. The hospital is centrally located, and the patients spawn very close by. It's almost impossible to fail here, whereas it's a nightmare in a big city.

    • Reward: Increases your Max Health to 150.

  • Vigilante (Level 12): This also must be done in one go.

    • Pro-Tip: The easiest way is to wait until you've unlocked Las Venturas and steal a Rhino (tank) from Area 69. The mission is trivial in a tank. If you want to do it early, get a Police bike and do it in Angel Pine.

    • Reward: Increases your Max Armor to 150.

  • Firefighter (Level 12): This is the easiest one, and the reward is one of the best.

    • Pro-Tip: You can do this anywhere, but it's very easy in Los Santos.

    • Reward: Makes CJ permanently fireproof.

🗺️ Tip #3: The "Los Santos Exile" Rule

DO NOT waste time conquering all the gang territories in Los Santos at the start of the game.

After the story mission "The Green Sabre," you will be exiled from Los Santos, and all of your captured territories will be lost and reset to zero. The main push for territories should be saved for the end of the game when the story requires it.

🔫 Tip #4: Collectibles = Free Weapons

Don't save the collectibles for the end. Do them as soon as you unlock each new city. The rewards are designed to help you with the rest of the game.

  • Los Santos (100 Tags): This should be your first priority. Completing all 100 tags spawns an AK-47, Tec-9, Sawn-off Shotgun, and Molotovs in the Johnson House. This gives you a massive arsenal for free at the very start of the game.

  • San Fierro (50 Snapshots): Spawns a Sniper Rifle, Micro Uzi, Pump Shotgun, and Grenades at your Doherty garage.

  • Las Venturas (50 Horseshoes): Spawns an M4, MP5, Combat Shotgun, and Satchel Charges at the Four Dragons Casino. This also significantly increases your "Luck" for gambling.

✈️ Tip #5: You Only Need Bronze at School

The Driving, Boat, Bike, and (especially) Flying schools are a major roadblock for many players. You do NOT need to get Gold on all the tests.

A Bronze medal on all tests is all that is required for 100% completion. Getting Gold gives you bonus vehicle spawns, but it's not necessary. Don't waste hours trying to perfect the N.O.E. flying mission if it's giving you trouble.

💰 Tip #6: The "Inside Track" Money Glitch

Need cash for all those safehouses? Go to the Inside Track Betting shop in Los Santos (near the Mulholland-Jefferson intersection).

  1. Save your game at a nearby safehouse.

  2. Go to the betting shop and place your entire wallet on the horse with the 12/1 (longest) odds.

  3. If you win, go back and save.

  4. If you lose, reload your save and try again.

You can become a multi-millionaire in about 15 minutes, which makes buying all the properties and assets required for 100% a breeze.
