A remake of the popular 2009 visual novel, Steins;Gate, will be headed west. While the project had been formally announced since last year, new details and images were revealed in a press release. The remake will feature all-new backgrounds and character art, and will have new story events. Steins;Gate Re:Boot will be releasing sometime in 2026, with the only currently confirmed platform as Steam.

STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT revisits STEINS;GATE, which was originally released in 2009 for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, featuring updated visuals and new narrative content. The company today shared an early look at the enhanced graphics for the game, which is currently in development.

The game features refined character illustrations by character designer huke, along with event stills produced under huke’s supervision. Background graphics present a detailed depiction of Akihabara as it appeared in 2010, created using extensive reference materials.
