Rockstar Games has kicked off a new GTA Online weekly update, and this one marks the start of a two-week event centered on drift and transform races. Running from August 26 through September 2, the update brings a wave of new content, rotating bonuses, and steep discounts across Los Santos.
Five New Transform Races Join the Rotation

The headline addition this week is a batch of five new Random Transform Races, split across the two existing categories. Three are Known Unknown Races, sending players through Redwood Lights Track, the Elysian Island docks, and the Grand Senora Desert. In these, competitors cycle through a predetermined lineup of vehicles in random order — meaning a nimble ATV or Manchez Scout motorcycle could suddenly give way to something as unwieldy as a Phantom tractor truck.
The other two are new Unknown Unknown Races, which push the chaos further by mixing land, sea, and air vehicles and forcing players to adapt on the fly to whatever comes next.
All Random Transform Races are paying triple GTA$ and RP through September 2, and there's an added incentive to jump in early: players who log on between August 28 and August 30 can earn a massive 6X GTA$ and RP bonus on selected Drift and Transform Races.
Drift Tuning Comes to Three More Vehicles

Drift Tuning upgrades — installable through the LS Car Meet — are now available for three additional vehicles: the Annis Elegy Retro, the Invetero Coquette, and the Vapid Dominator GTT. Drift Races themselves are paying double GTA$, RP, and LS Car Meet Rep through September 2, giving players fresh reason to put the new tuning options to use.
This week's Weekly Challenge ties directly into the theme: completing three Drift Races nets an extra GTA$100,000. Anyone who finishes a Drift Race specifically in the Übermacht Cypher will also unlock the exclusive Glitch Camo drift livery, delivered to their garage within 72 hours.
Other Bonuses and Heist Content

Auto Shop owners aren't left out — Auto Shop Robbery Contracts are also paying double GTA$, RP, and LS Car Meet Rep through September 2, making it a good week to put those criminal operations back to work.
Elsewhere, the Kortz Center Heist is getting a refresh: new Primary Targets have been added, its first-completion bonus has reset, and players who complete it without dying will earn a bonus GTA$400,000. The FIB Priority File this week is The Fine Art File, which pays double as always.
On the racing side, this week's Premium Race is On the Ground, the HSW Time Trial is North Chumash, and the standard Time Trial is Storm Drain.
Discounts and the Casino Wheel

A solid lineup of vehicles is discounted 30% through September 2, including the Cheval Taipan, Vapid Flash GT, Invetero Coquette D5, Annis ZR350, RC Bandito, Karin Technical Aqua, Buckingham Howard NX-25, and Western Company Duster. The Gun Van is knocking 30% off the Military Rifle, while GTA+ members can grab the Precision Rifle at 40% off.
At The Diamond Casino & Resort, this week's Lucky Wheel podium vehicle is the Karin Sultan Classic, which normally runs $1,789,000 at Southern San Andreas Super Autos. GTA+ members can also claim a free Gallivanter Warden, Chameleon Paints, and Princess Robot Bubblegum apparel among this month's perks.
With a full slate of new races, tuning options, and bonus multipliers, Rockstar has set the stage for what looks to be an active two weeks in Los Santos heading into September.
