GTA 6 Pre-Orders Could Open Soon as Rockstar Prepares Its Digital Store Pages

Grand Theft Auto VI fans have been waiting years to finally hit that “Pre-Order” button—and the moment may be just around the corner.

On March 1, 2026, reliable PlayStation Store database tracker @PlaystationSize reported that new GTA VI title IDs have been added to the backend of the PlayStation Store. The account, known for its near-perfect track record on listing updates, download sizes, and pre-order reveals, posted:

“Grand Theft Auto VI title IDs have been added to the PlayStation database. I expect we’ll see something about the game soon, probably the start of pre-orders.”

When asked how long it usually takes from title ID addition to live pricing and pre-orders, the leaker replied:

“To be honest, it completely depends on the publisher, and it’s not something I know for sure. But I don’t think there’s going to be a long wait.”

This is the strongest signal yet that Rockstar is actively preparing the store listings for pre-order activation on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

From Wishlist-Only to Full Pre-Orders

Since the second trailer launched in May 2025, GTA 6 has been available to wishlist on both major consoles—but actual pre-orders have remained locked. The game has consistently topped PlayStation’s “most wishlisted” charts week after week. Once pre-orders go live, industry watchers expect it to dominate the “most pre-ordered” lists as well.

Rockstar’s parent company, Take-Two Interactive, already confirmed that the full-scale marketing campaign for GTA 6 will kick off this summer. Many believe the studio is timing pre-order availability as the first big marketing beat—giving fans something concrete to buy into before the “astonishing” global blitz begins.

What We Know About Pricing and Editions

Fans are already speculating about pricing. The most common expectation is a $70 standard edition, with premium and collector’s editions likely sitting higher. Rockstar has not confirmed any prices yet, and the store pages still show no pricing or edition details.

Release Date Locked In

For context, Rockstar officially lists Grand Theft Auto VI as arriving on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That gives the studio roughly eight months to build hype—an unusually long pre-order window compared to most big releases, but one that fits Rockstar’s deliberate marketing style.

The GTA 6 store page has already received minor updates in the past (including a GTA+ advertisement tease), showing Rockstar is slowly fleshing out the listing ahead of the big reveal.

What Happens Next?

If history is any guide, once pre-orders flip live we could see:

  • Official pricing and edition details

  • Pre-order bonuses (possibly early access to GTA Online content or in-game items)

  • A new trailer or deep-dive feature

  • Physical pre-order options at major retailers

Bottom Line

After years of waiting, the floodgates are about to open. GTA 6 pre-orders appear to be days—or at most weeks—away. If you’ve been holding your wallet ready since Trailer 2, the countdown just got real.

Stay tuned. As soon as Rockstar flips the switch, we’ll let you know exactly what editions are available, how much they cost, and what bonuses come with them. Vice City is calling—get ready to answer.
