The hype surrounding Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) is reaching fever pitch. With pre-orders set to go live on June 25, 2026—just days from now—industry voices are making extraordinarily bold predictions about the game's commercial dominance. One prominent analyst suggests the title could generate a staggering $1 billion from pre-orders in a single hour.

Tom Henderson's Explosive Prediction

Industry analyst and well-known insider Tom Henderson shared his thoughts on the Insider Gaming Podcast. Comparing it directly to the massive success of its predecessor, he stated: “GTA V did a billion in three days, this one (GTA 6) is doing a billion in an hour, easy.”

To contextualize that figure: at an expected retail price around $70–$80, this would translate to roughly 12–14 million copies sold in pre-orders within the first 60 minutes of availability. For perspective, that volume approaches half the lifetime sales of the entire The Last of Us franchise (including remakes) in under an hour.

Broader Analyst Optimism and Launch Projections

Henderson is far from alone in his enthusiasm. Investment bank Piper Sandler has estimated that GTA 6 could move more than 46 million copies on its first day of release, potentially generating around $3 billion in launch-day revenue alone. If these numbers hold, GTA 6 would eclipse GTA V's records and claim the title of the biggest entertainment launch in history.

Other forecasts paint an even more ambitious picture:

Analysts from DFC Intelligence and others project over $1 billion in pre-orders before launch and $3–3.2 billion in revenue during the first 12 months.

Some bullish estimates suggest $3–4 billion in the first month and up to $7.6 billion in the first 60 days.

Development Costs and Take-Two's Stakes

These projections come against the backdrop of a rumored development budget of $1–1.5 billion (or higher, according to some reports), making GTA 6 one of the most expensive entertainment products ever created. A strong pre-order performance could allow parent company Take-Two Interactive to break even almost immediately upon release.

Pricing remains a key variable. While an $80 price point has been speculated (potentially setting a new industry standard), many expect Rockstar to stick closer to $70–$80 to maximize volume, following successful high-priced releases in recent years.

Why the Massive Expectations?

GTA 6 builds on the unparalleled legacy of GTA V, which continues to generate billions years after launch thanks to GTA Online. The new entry promises a vast open world set in a reimagined Vice City-inspired location, with groundbreaking graphics, storytelling, and online features. Years of trailers, leaks, and anticipation have built unprecedented demand across consoles and, eventually, PC.

Server strain on PlayStation and Xbox launch day is widely anticipated as millions attempt to secure their copies simultaneously.

Will You Pre-Order?

The question now shifts to fans: Will the excitement translate into immediate action when pre-orders open on June 25? Early indicators—from social media buzz to stock movements for Take-Two—suggest the answer is a resounding yes.

GTA 6 is not just expected to be a game; it's positioned to be a cultural and financial juggernaut that redefines what's possible in the gaming industry.

Stay tuned for more updates as pre-orders begin and the countdown to launch continues.

Take-Two Stock Surges on GTA 6 Hype: Wall Street Bets Big on Trailer and $80 Pricing

Take-Two Interactive (TTWO) has been riding a wave of investor enthusiasm this week, with its stock climbing sharply amid mounting excitement for Grand Theft Auto VI. Fresh pre-order announcements, cover art reveals, and analyst optimism have combined to send shares higher, underscoring Wall Street’s confidence in Rockstar Games’ blockbuster upcoming title.

Strong Gains Driven by GTA 6 Momentum

As of June 18, 2026, Take-Two shares closed up nearly 5%, contributing to significant weekly gains. Earlier in the week, the stock jumped over 6% following reports that GTA 6 could sell as many as 45 million copies in its initial release window. Subsequent news about the game’s cover art and the confirmation of pre-orders starting June 25 added another roughly 5% boost.

At market close on June 18, TTWO shares reached approximately $239, reflecting strong trading volume and positive sentiment as the November 2026 launch date approaches.

Jefferies Sees Trailer and Pricing Catalyst Next Week

Investment firm Jefferies, a notable shareholder in Take-Two, highlighted the potential for a major catalyst next week. Analysts anticipate that Rockstar could drop the third official trailer for GTA VI alongside the opening of pre-orders on June 25.

On pricing, Jefferies expects the standard edition to land at $80, though a $70 price point remains possible. A special edition could carry a $10 premium. Higher pricing at $100 is viewed as unlikely. The firm also suggested that special editions might offer early details on GTA VI’s online mode and monetization strategy—though Rockstar could keep multiplayer elements under wraps until later in the summer.

Why Investors Are Bullish

Grand Theft Auto VI represents a massive opportunity for Take-Two. The game is expected to drive substantial revenue, with the company targeting $8.0–8.2 billion in net bookings for fiscal 2027. Strong pre-order performance and sustained hype could provide a significant lift heading into the critical holiday season.

The series’ track record is legendary. Previous entries have generated billions in revenue and maintained enormous cultural relevance. With GTA 6 set in a reimagined Vice City and featuring highly anticipated gameplay innovations, expectations are sky-high among both fans and investors.

A Note of Caution

While analyst predictions have fueled recent rallies, not all forecasts about Rockstar’s plans have proven accurate in the past. The studio is known for marching to its own drum and often surprises the industry with its timing and decisions.

That said, the combination of confirmed pre-order timing, fresh marketing materials, and strong sales projections has created a compelling narrative for growth.

What’s Next for GTA 6 and Take-Two

Fans and investors alike will be watching closely for any official announcements from Rockstar next week. A new trailer could further amplify momentum, while pre-order numbers will offer the first tangible data point on consumer demand.

For Take-Two, successful execution of GTA VI could mark a new chapter of dominance in the gaming industry. In the meantime, the stock’s recent performance demonstrates how powerfully one anticipated release can move markets.

Stay tuned for more updates as Rockstar continues its marketing push toward the highly anticipated November 2026 launch. The road to Vice City has never looked more promising—for players and shareholders alike.

Rockstar Games Updates GTA 6 Xbox Store Page With Official Cover Art Ahead of Pre-Orders

The hype train for Grand Theft Auto VI is officially picking up speed. Following the massive cover art reveal and pre-order information drop from Rockstar Games earlier this week, the studio has begun quietly updating its digital storefront assets—starting with Xbox.

For roughly a year, eager fans have been able to add GTA 6 to their wishlists on both Xbox and PlayStation digital storefronts. Until now, the placeholder image for the highly anticipated title was the familiar "Jason and Lucia 02" illustration. However, as preparations intensify for the game's pre-order launch on June 25th, that is finally beginning to change.

As spotted by GTA community member @RedDeadOutlaw99, the search result thumbnail for the game on the Xbox Store has been officially swapped out. Instead of the placeholder artwork, fans searching for the title are now greeted with the newly revealed, official GTA VI cover art. For many fans, seeing the final box art populate directly on their console UI makes the upcoming release feel more real than ever, with some initially brushing off the screenshots as fan-made fakes until verifying it on their own consoles.

Currently, this update appears to be rolling out in phases. The new cover art is visible to users browsing via the Xbox console store and the official Xbox website. However, the Xbox mobile app has not yet reflected the change, and users who have had the wishlist/placeholder file installed for the last year will notice it still sports the older artwork for the time being.

Alongside the thumbnail update, the Xbox website homepage is now actively advertising the game. A new Grand Theft Auto VI banner is currently being displayed, proudly announcing that pre-orders for the Xbox Series X|S will officially open next Thursday, June 25th.

Interestingly, at the time of writing, Sony's PlayStation Store remains unchanged and continues to use the older placeholder artwork. However, it is fully expected that PlayStation will mirror the Xbox update shortly as Rockstar ensures all digital storefronts are synchronized ahead of the pre-order rush.

With pre-orders just around the corner and official assets finally hitting console dashboards, the final countdown to our return to Vice City has truly begun.

Rockstar’s Two-Word Response to the White House’s GTA 6 Parody

Every time Rockstar Games begins rolling out the marketing for a new title, it creates an undeniable cultural moment. With Grand Theft Auto VI officially set for a November 2026 release, the anticipation is soaring to unprecedented heights. Earlier this week, Rockstar broke the internet by revealing GTA 6's official cover art and pre-order date. Almost immediately, the internet responded in kind—fans, major brands, and influencers scrambled to post their own viral, parody versions of the vibrant cover art and update their logos to match Rockstar's new aesthetic.

But no one expected the United States government to crash the party.

In a move that has sparked widespread conversation and a hefty dose of irony, the official White House social media account posted its own rendition of the GTA 6 cover art. The image, which users quickly pointed out appeared to be heavily AI-generated, placed President Trump front and center.

The internet was quick to react. Given Rockstar Games' extensive history of satirizing American politics, pushing boundaries, and frequently clashing with government officials over their game content, the White House adopting the studio's branding was seen by many as highly ironic.

When pressed for a statement regarding the administration’s use of their highly anticipated game's marketing style, Rockstar kept their cards famously close to the chest. Speaking to Kotaku, a Rockstar spokesperson offered the shortest possible response: "No comment."

Historically, when political administrations have co-opted copyrighted material or distinct branding from the video game industry, publishers have sometimes sent cease-and-desist letters or outright condemned the usage. Rockstar’s choice to issue a brief "no comment" could be interpreted in several ways—ranging from an unwillingness to feed into the political distraction to a calculated refusal to legitimize the parody.

The White House wasn't the only branch of the administration looking to capitalize on the GTA 6 hype. Shortly after the cover image went viral, US Department of Health & Human Services Secretary Kennedy posted an edited version of a Rockstar cover review video. Accompanied by the caption, “We flipped the food pyramid before we got GTA 6,” the video featured Secretary Kennedy, President Trump, and a bizarre cast of AI-generated people dressed as various food items.

As the calendar inches closer to GTA 6's monumental launch this November, it is becoming increasingly clear that the game is transcending the gaming industry to become a major touchstone in mainstream pop culture and politics. Whether Rockstar will eventually address the political parodying of their magnum opus remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: the road to Vice City is going to be incredibly eventful.

How to Get the Free Next-Gen Upgrade for GTA V and GTA Online

Grand Theft Auto fans received a massive surprise today as Rockstar Games quietly updated its official website, treating the gaming community to a brand-new look at Grand Theft Auto VI. Alongside the highly anticipated reveal of the game's official cover art and the confirmation of its pre-order date, Rockstar embedded a brief, scrollable snippet of in-game footage into its refreshed GTA VI mini-site.

This marks the very first piece of new gameplay footage fans have seen since Trailer 2 debuted last May, and despite its brevity, the clip is packed with impressive details that showcase the power of current-generation hardware.

A Sunset Glimpse of Vice City

The newly discovered gameplay snippet is a brief 8-second aerial shot of Vice City, Leonida, captured during a vivid sunset. The video runs at a crisp 4K resolution and 30 frames per second (FPS)—a technical baseline that experts expect the game to target on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and the PlayStation 5 Pro.

Even in just eight seconds, the sheer scale and density of the world are on full display. Keen-eyed fans have already counted a total of seven aircraft moving across the sky simultaneously, hinting at an incredibly active and living airspace.

2160.06.kcaed--eoc.mp4

Next-Gen Tech: Parallax Interiors Confirmed

One of the biggest technical takeaways from the footage is the confirmation of parallax interiors. While Grand Theft Auto V relied heavily on flat, static textures for building windows, GTA VI utilizes advanced parallax mapping. This rendering technique creates a convincing 3D depth effect behind windows, making it look as though there are fully realized, tangible rooms inside the skyscrapers as the camera pans past. While not entirely new to gaming this generation, its implementation in GTA VI dramatically elevates the visual fidelity and environmental immersion compared to its predecessor.

New Story Details and Pre-Orders Opening Soon

In addition to the visual feast, the website update featured a fresh logline detailing the high-stakes journey of the game's dual protagonists, Jason and Lucia:

"When an easy score lands Jason and Lucia in a conspiracy stretching across the entire state of Leonida, the young criminal couple find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America – forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive."

With the official cover art, logos, and wallpapers now out in the wild, the countdown to the game’s release has officially entered its next phase.
After years of anticipation and radio silence, Rockstar Games has officially kicked off the marketing campaign for Grand Theft Auto VI with a major update: the reveal of the game's official cover art and the confirmation of when fans can finally pre-order the title.

On Thursday, June 18, 2026, Rockstar Games posted a video on X (formerly Twitter) showcasing the striking new cover art for GTA 6. The artwork follows the iconic Grand Theft Auto tradition, featuring a collage of characters, vehicles, and atmospheric elements from the game. Protagonists Jason and Lucia prominently occupy the center-top position, setting the tone for what promises to be an epic crime saga in Vice City and the state of Leonida.

A square version of the cover is also available, along with downloadable artwork directly from Rockstar's official site.

New Story Details Drop

Alongside the visual reveal, Rockstar shared a fresh story blurb that adds intrigue to the narrative:

“When an easy score lands Jason and Lucia in a conspiracy stretching across the entire state of Leonida, the young criminal couple find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America – forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive.”

This snippet reinforces earlier trailer hints: a Bonnie-and-Clyde-style duo navigating high-stakes crime in a vibrant, sun-soaked open world.

Pre-Orders Open June 25

The biggest news for fans eager to secure their copy? After over a year without substantial news following the first trailer, Rockstar is finally turning up the heat as summer 2026 progresses.
With the next major GTA Online update just around the corner, Rockstar Games is preparing to tweak Los Santos’ real estate in some very interesting ways. Slated for a mid-July release, "The Kortz Center Heist" will not only introduce a thrilling new mission but also bring subtle yet significant changes to both the titular Kortz Center and player-owned mansions.

Here is a breakdown of what the community has discovered so far about the upcoming changes.

A New Way Into the Kortz Center

Rockstar officially teased "The Kortz Center Heist" recently, dropping a promotional screenshot that immediately caught the eye of eagle-eyed community members. Insider Tex2 was the first to point out that the building’s layout on the cliffs of Pacific Bluffs has received a structural update.

In the official teaser image, players can be seen standing near a skylight on the roof of the Kortz Center—a feature that does not exist in the current version of the game. Speculation is already running high that this new glass skylight will serve as one of the primary infiltration points for the upcoming heist, allowing players to pull off an action-movie-style descent into the facility.

The Secret Mansion Room and the Art Studio

Perhaps the most intriguing addition for veteran players revolves around the recent Mansion properties (which were added to the game in December). According to Rockstar's Newswire, players will need to purchase an Art Studio for their mansion in order to initiate the Kortz Center Heist.

Given the already cramped floor plans, players immediately wondered where an entire Art Studio was going to fit. The answer, as uncovered by data miners @Lucas7yoshi_RS and @rollschuh2282, is a secret room. Hidden away right next to the mansion's vault, a concealed space behind a wall cover has been sitting right under players' noses since the mansions launched.

It is still unclear whether Rockstar intends to physically alter the mansion's existing assets to allow players to walk through a new door, or if the Art Studio will simply be a separate, teleport-accessed instance.

A Pricey New Venture

As is tradition in Los Santos, launching a high-stakes heist requires a hefty upfront investment. While the base price of the Art Studio hasn't been officially confirmed, it's expected to burn a significant hole in players' virtual wallets.

However, there is a silver lining. Current mansion owners can secure a whopping $1 million discount on the Art Studio upgrade by reaching Tier 3 of the newly launched "Fine Art Collector Program" ahead of the DLC's release. If the discount alone is $1 million, players should brace themselves for an astronomical base price.

Looking Ahead

With GTA 6 looming on the horizon, Rockstar is continuing to support GTA Online with fresh, high-stakes content. The Kortz Center Heist is scheduled to launch in mid-July (aligning with the end of the current GTA+ month).

Will you be grinding the Fine Art Collector Program to get your hands on the Art Studio discount? The Los Santos criminal underworld is about to get a lot more cultured!

GTA Online Fine Art Collector Program: Full Details Revealed Ahead of The Kortz Center Heist DLC

Rockstar Games has officially unveiled the Fine Art Collector Program, a new incentive initiative launching in GTA Online on June 18, 2026. Designed to build hype and reward players in the lead-up to the major July update The Kortz Center Heist, the program offers tiered rewards ranging from cash bonuses and free vehicles to exclusive mansion upgrades and decorative art pieces.

What Is the Fine Art Collector Program?

The program ties directly into the upcoming Kortz Center Heist, which lets players pull off a high-stakes robbery at a prestigious art gallery. Successful heists will yield substantial cash payouts and valuable art pieces. To store and showcase these acquisitions, Rockstar is introducing a brand-new Art Studio upgrade for player-owned mansions.

The Fine Art Collector Program serves as a preparatory event. It runs from June 18 to July 13, 2026, giving players nearly a full month to climb the tiers before the heist DLC drops on July 14, 2026.

Tiered Rewards Breakdown

Tier 1: Enthusiast

Requirement: Simply log into GTA Online at least once during the program period (June 18 – July 13).

Rewards:

GTA$500,000 (credited within 72 hours)

Free Benefactor Turreted Limo (claim from Warstock and deliver via Pegasus through the Interaction Menu)

This entry-level tier ensures even casual players can get a head start with easy cash and a powerful armored vehicle.

Tier 2: Patron

Requirement: Complete any GTA Online Heist between June 18 and July 13.

Rewards:

GTA$1,000,000

NOOSE Outfit (if not already unlocked)

This tier encourages players to dive into heist content, offering a significant cash boost perfect for funding future criminal enterprises.

Tier 3: Elitist

Requirement: Own a mansion and log into GTA Online during the program window.

Rewards (unlocked with the July 14 update):

GTA$1,000,000 discount on the new Art Studio mansion upgrade (essential for starting the Kortz Center Heist)

Free Annihilator Stealth Helicopter from Warstock

A free Sculpture for your mansion

Opportunity to unlock a unique Painting to decorate your property

Mansion owners stand to benefit the most, with major savings on the new heist-related property upgrade and high-value cosmetic/functional items.

Why This Matters for GTA Online Players

The Fine Art Collector Program is more than just freebies — it’s Rockstar’s way of onboarding players into the new art-themed criminal gameplay loop. By incentivizing logins, heist participation, and mansion ownership, Rockstar is ensuring the player base is prepared and excited for the Kortz Center Heist content.

Players without mansions may want to consider investing in one before the update, especially with the hefty discount available to Tier 3 participants. The program also coincides with a broader Event Week (June 18–24), promising even more activities and bonuses.

How to Participate

Launch GTA Online between June 18 and July 13, 2026.

Complete the simple requirements for each tier.

Keep an eye on your in-game notifications for reward claims (most process within 72 hours).

GTA Online Event Week: Fine Art Collector Program Launches (June 18th - 24th, 2026)

In a significant development for the ongoing labor dispute at one of gaming's most prominent studios, Rockstar Games has suffered a key legal reversal. A UK employment tribunal has ruled against the company's attempt to exclude "blacklisting" claims from the full trial involving dozens of former GTA 6 developers who were dismissed in late 2025.

Background of the Dispute

The conflict traces back to October 2025, when Rockstar fired approximately 30-40 developers, many of whom were involved in union organizing efforts through the Independent Workers’ Union of Great Britain (IWGB). The company maintained that the dismissals stemmed from gross misconduct, specifically the alleged leaking of confidential information—including details related to GTA 6 development—via a private Discord server.

The affected workers and the IWGB countered that the firings represented unlawful union-busting, violating workers' rights to organize. They argued that the Discord channel was intended for employee and union discussions, not public leaks, and accused Rockstar of heavy-handed tactics amid growing concerns over working conditions, such as crunch and management practices.

Earlier in the proceedings, Rockstar successfully opposed requests for interim relief, meaning the fired employees were not immediately reinstated on payroll or provided back pay while the case continued.

The Latest Ruling

On June 17, 2026, the tribunal rejected Rockstar's bid to remove blacklisting allegations from the case. This allows the full scope of claims—including accusations that the company targeted union members and attempted to suppress organizing efforts—to proceed to trial.

The IWGB described the decision as a "major blow" to Rockstar. Spring McParlin-Jones, chair of the IWGB Game Workers Branch, highlighted its importance for worker rights in the industry. One former employee, Ellie Dunstan, issued a statement celebrating the ruling:

“This ruling is a huge moment for us. Rockstar thought they could control the narrative. They’re wrong, and we look forward to proving it. Our case will now be heard in full... The judgment shows that even against a company with Rockstar’s resources, workers can stand together and demand accountability. This fight has always been about more than just our own situation – it is about making sure workers across the games industry and beyond have the right to stand together, speak out, and organise for a fairer sector.”

Trial Timeline and Broader Implications

The full employment tribunal hearing is scheduled to begin on September 10, 2026, and run through October 15, 2026—a multi-week proceeding that will unfold just before the anticipated launch of Grand Theft Auto VI. This timing adds extra scrutiny to the high-profile release.

In response to the firings, current and former Rockstar staff recently formalized the Rockstar Game Workers Union (RGWU), affiliated with the IWGB, signaling growing momentum for organized labor within the studio.

The case has drawn attention from politicians and industry observers, with some accusing Rockstar of obstructing legal processes. It underscores wider debates about working conditions, union rights, and corporate power in video game development—particularly at a studio renowned for ambitious, long-cycle projects like the GTA series.

What's Next?

As the trial approaches, both sides are expected to present detailed evidence regarding the Discord activities, dismissal justifications, and any potential anti-union motivations. Rockstar has previously expressed regret over the situation while standing by its position that the terminations were necessary to protect confidential information.

The outcome could have ripple effects across the games industry, influencing how studios handle unionization efforts and internal communications. For now, the fired developers see the latest ruling as a victory for transparency and accountability.

Stay tuned for further updates as this high-stakes legal battle between Rockstar Games and its former GTA 6 team heads toward a full hearing.

Rockstar Games Offers Free Next-Gen Upgrade for GTA V and GTA Online on Consoles

Rockstar Games is giving longtime players a major incentive to upgrade their hardware. Starting June 18, 2026, owners of certain last-generation versions of Grand Theft Auto V can upgrade to the enhanced next-gen editions on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for free.

Who Qualifies for the Free Upgrade?

According to Rockstar's announcement, the offer applies to:

Players who own any PS4 version of GTA V.

Players who own the digital Xbox One version of GTA V.

This mirrors the free upgrade previously provided to PC players who owned the legacy version of the game. It allows eligible players to access the superior next-gen version without additional cost, bringing improved graphics, faster loading times, technical enhancements, and exclusive content.

Physical PS4 disc owners and digital Xbox One owners are covered, giving many players who haven't yet made the jump to current-gen consoles a smooth path forward.

Easy Migration of Progress

One of the best parts of this upgrade is the ability to transfer your progress seamlessly:

GTA Online characters and data.

Story Mode saves.

Once migrated, your last-gen character becomes inaccessible on the older console version, encouraging a full transition to the enhanced experience. Rockstar hopes this process avoids the technical hiccups seen in past re-releases, such as the Red Dead Redemption upgrade issues.

Why Now?

The timing aligns with fresh content for GTA Online. Rockstar recently detailed The Kortz Center Heist, a new heist update arriving in July 2026. The free upgrade ensures more players can fully enjoy these upcoming features on modern hardware.

Additionally, GTA V Story Mode was recently added to the GTA+ subscription service, expanding options for players across platforms.

Background on Next-Gen Versions

The PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of GTA V and GTA Online originally launched with significant improvements over the PS4/Xbox One editions, including:

Enhanced visuals and performance.

Faster load times.

New vehicles and content exclusive to next-gen (such as Hao's Special Works upgrades).

This free upgrade brings those benefits to a broader audience ahead of the highly anticipated launch of Grand Theft Auto VI.

What Should Players Do?

If you qualify, check your console's store or library starting June 18 for the upgrade option. Make sure to back up your progress if needed, though Rockstar's migration tools should handle the transfer reliably.

This move is a welcome gesture from Rockstar, rewarding loyal players and potentially boosting engagement in GTA Online ahead of new heists and future expansions.

Are you planning to take advantage of the free upgrade?
Rockstar Games has officially announced the next major GTA Online update: The Kortz Center Heist. Slated for release in July 2026, this long-awaited content drop marks the first proper heist in nearly six years, bringing fresh high-stakes criminal action to Los Santos.

Targeting Los Santos’ Premier Art Gallery

Perched on the hills of Pacific Bluffs, the world-famous Kortz Center has long been a landmark in the GTA universe. Known for its priceless international art collection, the gallery is now the prime target for players looking to pull off their next big score.

The heist will revolve around raiding this prestigious venue. Players will purchase an Art Studio upgrade for their Mansion property, which serves as the planning hub. From there, they’ll analyze the target, select an approach, and execute the multi-stage operation—either solo or with a crew of up to four players.

Rockstar has teased that more details on gameplay mechanics, approaches, and rewards will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Preparation and Lead-Up Events

In the lead-up to the July release, Rockstar plans to roll out heist preparations through in-game activities. Expect:

Special events with big bonuses and rewards.

Record-breaking discounts, including a GTA$2,000,000 reduction on mansions for GTA+ members.

A 40% bonus on all Shark Card purchases, available to everyone regardless of GTA+ status.

The launch of a new Fine Art Collector program, allowing players to claim rare and exclusive treasures.

These incentives are designed to help players gear up for the new content.

Release Date and Platforms

The Kortz Center Heist update is scheduled to drop on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. This timing aligns with the end of the current GTA+ benefits cycle. The update will be available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

It remains unclear whether pre-loading will be available ahead of launch.

Why This Update Matters

After years dominated by smaller updates, business expansions, and the occasional raid (like The Cluckin’ Bell Farm Raid), fans have been craving a full-scale heist experience reminiscent of classics like The Diamond Casino Heist or Cayo Perico. The Kortz Center Heist appears poised to deliver that, arriving just months before the highly anticipated launch of GTA VI on November 19, 2026.

This summer DLC should provide plenty of fresh gameplay and earning opportunities to keep the GTA Online community engaged.

Stay Tuned for More

Rockstar has promised additional information via the Rockstar Newswire in the near future. Keep an eye on official channels for trailers, gameplay reveals, and exact payout details.

Are you excited to hit the Kortz Center?
Grand Theft Auto VI, the long-awaited next installment in Rockstar Games' blockbuster franchise, continues to generate massive excitement—and financial ripple effects—well ahead of its planned November 19, 2026 release. A fresh analyst report projecting eye-watering launch sales has investors buzzing, driving a significant surge in parent company Take-Two Interactive's share price.

According to data analysis highlighted by Piper Sandler and reported via outlets like TheFly and StockTwits, GTA 6 could sell more than 45 million copies upon release. This figure would dwarf previous benchmarks in the industry and even optimistic prior estimates for the title, which had hovered in the 20–25 million range for launch window performance.

A New Standard for Blockbuster Launches

For context, the previous record-holder in the series, Grand Theft Auto V, moved over 11 million copies on its first day back in 2013. The leap to 45 million would represent not just growth in the gaming market but a cultural phenomenon on a scale rarely seen in entertainment. GTA titles have historically blended single-player storytelling with expansive online modes that generate revenue for years, and expectations are that GTA 6's Vice City-inspired world will follow suit with even greater longevity.

The report proved to be music to investors' ears. Take-Two's stock closed up more than 6% on the day the news circulated, reaching levels not seen since a strong quarterly earnings report earlier in the year. This surge occurred despite Rockstar's relative silence on new trailers or details, underscoring the market's hunger for any positive GTA 6 signals.

Analyst Optimism and Addressing Concerns

Piper Sandler maintained an "Overweight" rating on Take-Two shares, with a price target of $280—representing roughly 20% upside from recent trading levels. The firm downplayed investor fears that the massive console/PC release might cannibalize the company's successful mobile gaming business (via Zynga), noting distinct consumer bases between the two segments.

This bullish outlook aligns with broader sentiment that Take-Two has been conservative in its own guidance. Earlier fiscal projections for 2027, while strong, were viewed by some analysts as underestimating GTA 6's potential impact.

Release Date Confidence Grows

Adding fuel to the fire, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick recently appeared in a viral TikTok, reaffirming the November 19, 2026 launch date for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Reliable insiders have echoed this timeline, suggesting the project remains on track after previous delays aimed at polish.

Marketing efforts are expected to ramp up significantly in the coming months, potentially including new trailers, pre-order incentives, and more details on the game's highly anticipated features.

What This Means for the Industry

A 45 million-unit launch wouldn't just be a win for Rockstar and Take-Two—it could reshape expectations for AAA gaming. With production costs for modern titles skyrocketing, only the biggest franchises can deliver such returns. Success on this scale would likely accelerate investment in open-world experiences while validating Rockstar's meticulous development approach.

Of course, projections are just that—projections. Actual sales will depend on final quality, reviews, technical performance at launch, and macroeconomic factors. But the sheer anticipation surrounding GTA 6, built on decades of goodwill and the enduring popularity of GTA Online, makes the upside scenario highly plausible.

As the countdown to November continues, one thing is clear: the gaming world—and Wall Street—is ready for Vice City to take center stage once again.

Stay tuned for more updates on GTA 6 trailers, gameplay reveals, and pre-order information.

GTA 6 Confirmed Features: Everything Rockstar Has Revealed So Far

Grand Theft Auto VI is shaping up to be Rockstar Games' most ambitious title yet, building on the legacy of its predecessors with groundbreaking gameplay mechanics, immersive world-building, and technical advancements. Set in the vibrant, Florida-inspired state of Leonida (featuring Vice City and surrounding regions), the game follows protagonists Jason and Lucia in a story of crime, romance, and survival.

Here's a comprehensive breakdown of all the confirmed and strongly hinted features based on official trailers, screenshots, and Rockstar's revelations.

Dual Protagonists

Jason Duval and Lucia are the central playable characters, allowing players to switch between them much like in GTA 5. What sets this apart is their romantic relationship—a first for the series—which adds emotional depth to the narrative and gameplay. Each has their own connections and story arcs, with shared moments as a couple.

More Involved Gangs and Faction System

GTA 6 expands on gang dynamics with greater reactivity and depth, drawing from Red Dead Redemption 2's systems. Expect dynamic rivalries, affiliations, and interactions with factions throughout Leonida.

Hunting, Fishing, and Underwater Exploration

The game boasts a rich ecosystem with diverse wildlife. Hunting returns with more depth, fishing is confirmed (seen with Jason), and underwater areas feature detailed environments and marine life, surpassing GTA 5.

Advanced Wanted System and Police Response

Police AI appears more realistic and reactive, with a witness system influencing pursuits. Encounters feel more believable and tactical rather than purely chaotic.

Improved Melee Combat

Melee has been significantly upgraded, with Lucia shown training in MMA-style environments and various physical confrontations in trailers. This adds variety beyond gunplay.

Detailed Interiors and More Enterable Buildings

Interiors are packed with interactivity and detail. Rockstar is pushing the number and quality of explorable buildings to new heights for greater immersion.

Store Robberies

Dynamic robberies with physical intimidation and NPC reactions are highlighted, building on mechanics from previous games with more player agency and consequences.

In-Game Social Media

NPCs frequently use phones to record events, and a TikTok-like feed displays viral moments, news, and player-influenced content, integrating deeply into the world.

Expanded and Immersive Nightlife Activities

Vice City's Miami-inspired vibe shines through with clubs, dancing, strip clubs, and social hangouts, offering rich entertainment options.

Complex NPC Behavior and Routines

NPCs exhibit highly varied, realistic routines—commuting, committing crimes, racing, interacting with the environment, and reacting dynamically to the player and world events.

Multiple Diverse and Explorable Regions

Leonida includes distinct areas like Vice City, Grassrivers (Everglades-inspired), Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, Mount Kalaga, and the Leonida Keys, each with unique themes, activities, and missions.

Speculated but Highly Likely Features

These elements appear frequently in footage and align with Rockstar's design philosophy:

Earbuds on the Go: Suggests on-foot audio options like music or calls.

Muscle and Weight System: Potential for physique management through activities like bench pressing.

Boardable Cruise Ships and Enterable Metrorail: Expanding transportation and exploration.

Dynamic Hair Growth: Similar to RDR2.

Limited Weapon Inventory, enhanced Martial Arts, Drugs involvement, and Pets (e.g., iguana at home).

GTA 6 is poised to deliver an unprecedented level of detail and player freedom when it releases on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Fans of Grand Theft Auto have endured a long wait filled with hype, leaks, trailers, and multiple delays. As of mid-June 2026, the good news is that Grand Theft Auto VI appears firmly on course for its current target: November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

Insider Reassurance Amid Growing Impatience

On June 15, 2026, prominent gaming insider NateTheHate (known for a strong track record on Rockstar and other major titles) addressed community concerns directly. When asked about the game's status, he affirmed that GTA 6 is still tracking for the November release window. He emphasized that only something "unexpected & catastrophically" wrong in the immediate future would derail it.

This comes at a time when some fans are growing anxious. It's been over a year since the last major public update from Rockstar, and the game has already been delayed twice: first from a Fall 2025 window to May 26, 2026, and then to the November 2026 date.

Official Stance from Take-Two and Rockstar

Rockstar's parent company, Take-Two Interactive, has repeatedly backed the November 19, 2026 launch. In its most recent earnings update (late May 2026), CEO Strauss Zelnick reaffirmed the date and announced that a major marketing campaign would kick off this summer.

The industry is already reacting. Several publishers appear to be avoiding the September–October window around GTA 6's launch, treating it like an impending "nuclear bomb" in the release calendar.

What to Expect Next

With summer officially beginning on June 21, 2026, anticipation is building for the next trailer (possibly Trailer 3) and a full marketing blitz. Rockstar is known for high-polish, meticulously crafted campaigns that build massive hype.

NateTheHate's confidence aligns with Take-Two's public statements, suggesting internal development is proceeding smoothly enough to meet the deadline without further slips—provided no major issues arise.

A New Era for Vice City

Grand Theft Auto VI promises to return players to a modernized Vice City and surrounding areas in Leonida, following protagonists Lucia and Jason in what looks to be Rockstar's most ambitious open-world experience yet. After years of development and the immense success of GTA V and GTA Online, expectations are sky-high.

While nothing is guaranteed until Rockstar officially says otherwise, current signals from both insiders and the company itself point to November 19, 2026 as the date to circle on your calendar.

Stay tuned for more updates as the summer marketing push begins. The wait is nearly over.

Rockstar Games Likely Reveals Release Date for Next GTA Online Update: July 14, 2026

Rockstar Games appears to have tipped its hand early on the release timing for the next major GTA Online content drop. According to analysis from RockstarINTEL, the studio’s latest GTA+ membership cycle strongly points to a Tuesday, July 14, 2026 launch for the anticipated summer update.

The Clue Hidden in GTA+ Membership

On Thursday, June 11, 2026, Rockstar launched a new GTA+ membership month that includes the notable addition of GTA V itself to the benefits rotation. While GTA+ periods typically align neatly with calendar months, this cycle runs longer than usual—extending through Monday, July 13, 2026.

Rockstar has a well-established pattern of releasing major GTA Online updates on Tuesdays. With the membership ending on a Monday, the following Tuesday (July 14) lines up perfectly as the most logical date for fresh content to drop. Past summer updates have frequently landed in the first half of June or around similar mid-year windows, making this timing consistent with Rockstar’s habits.

What to Expect from the Summer Update

Details about the actual content remain scarce. Rockstar has previously confirmed that an “exciting new update” is coming this summer, complete with new experiences and special events.

Speculation suggests the update could continue narrative threads from recent DLCs. Following the involvement of Michael in the prior major update, fans anticipate Mr. Faber stepping into a prominent antagonistic role. Whether this includes new missions, vehicles, properties, or gameplay modes is still unknown, but the community is eager for more details in the coming weeks.

This release would likely serve as one of the final major content expansions for GTA Online before Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19, 2026. Despite the upcoming sequel, GTA Online continues to generate massive revenue—hundreds of millions annually—giving Rockstar strong incentive to keep the lights on in Los Santos.

Current GTA Online Activity

The speculation arrives alongside a fresh Event Week (June 11–17, 2026) featuring World Cup-themed rewards and other bonuses. Players can also take advantage of the new GTA+ perks, including access to GTA V.

Community Anticipation Builds

With GTA 6 on the horizon, many wonder what Rockstar has planned to bridge the gap. Will we see new properties, heists, vehicles, or perhaps even subtle teases for the next era of the franchise?

What are your hopes for the July update? New business opportunities, expanded storylines, or something entirely unexpected? Let the community know in the comments.

Stay tuned to official Rockstar channels and reliable sources like RockstarINTEL for the latest confirmations, trailers, and patch notes as we approach mid-July.
Grand Theft Auto VI is shaping up to have the highest break-even threshold of any entertainment product in history. But for Rockstar Games and its parent company, Take-Two Interactive, recouping a multi-billion dollar investment isn't a matter of if — it's a matter of how many days it will take.

Based on recent revenue guidance and development estimates, GTA 6 will need to sell between 30 and 60 million copies just to break even. For any other studio, those numbers would be utterly terrifying. For Rockstar, it's basically a formality.

Here is a breakdown of the math, the market conditions, and why the most expensive game ever made is practically a guaranteed immediate financial success.

The Math Behind the 60-Million Copy Target

Development and marketing costs for GTA 6 are estimated to sit somewhere between $1.5 billion and $2.5 billion. To understand how many units must be sold to cover that, we have to look at the net revenue Take-Two actually receives per copy.

A $75 retail game does not equal $75 in Take-Two's pocket. Here is how the revenue roughly splits per copy:

<colgroup><col style="width:242px;"><col style="width:208px;"><col style="min-width:20px;"><col style="min-width:20px;"></colgroup>

Format

Platform Fee / Retail Margin

Manufacturing

Estimated Net to Take-Two

Digital (75% of sales)

~30% (Sony/Microsoft)

$0

~$52.50

Physical (25% of sales)

~20-25% (Retailers)

~$5-$8

~$45.00 - $50.00

If we conservatively assume the budget is $1.5 billion and the average net revenue per copy is $50, the break-even point sits at roughly 30 million units. If the budget pushed closer to the rumored $2.5 billion and net revenue averages $40 per unit, that threshold skyrockets to over 60 million units.

To put that in perspective, selling 30 million copies would make GTA 6 one of the top 20 best-selling games of all time just by breaking even.

Why Take-Two Isn't Sweating

If any other publisher were staring down a 60-million unit hurdle, investors would be panicking. But Take-Two's FY2027 revenue guidance suggests they expect to hit this target within roughly four months of the game's anticipated launch.

We can look at GTA V's launch for context. In 2013, GTA V sold 11 million copies on day one and grossed $1 billion in just three days. But the market conditions for GTA 6 are vastly superior:

A Massive Market: The global gaming audience has grown from ~2 billion in 2013 to over 3.4 billion today.

Higher Margins: In 2013, digital sales only made up about 20% of the market. Today, digital penetration sits at 75-80%, meaning Rockstar keeps a much larger piece of the pie by avoiding physical manufacturing and distribution costs.

Pent-Up Demand: Fans waited 5 years between GTA IV and GTA V. They have now waited 13 years for GTA 6.

Free Marketing: We now live in an ecosystem dominated by Twitch, TikTok, and YouTube streamers, which serves as a global, free user-acquisition engine.

Analysts predict GTA 6 could easily push 15 to 20 million copies on day one alone, potentially hitting the $1 billion revenue mark in just 24 to 48 hours.

The Ultimate Safety Net: GTA Online

Even with a budget of up to $2.5 billion, Rockstar was never in a position where they needed to recoup the money on day one.

The secret weapon is Grand Theft Auto Online. The massive success of the live-service multiplayer mode effectively subsidized the development costs of GTA 6 over the last decade. Take-Two was able to spread the development costs across multiple fiscal years using cash flow generated by GTA Online — a luxury that competitors simply cannot replicate. Take-Two's CEO, Strauss Zelnick, has even referred to these massive development budgets as a "competitive moat" that acts as an entry barrier for rival studios.

GTA 6 isn't a gamble; it's a calculated flex. The question isn't whether Rockstar will make their money back, but whether they'll be in the black before the launch weekend is even over.

Why GTA Online's Fading Player Base is Rockstar’s Biggest GTA 6 Hurdle

With Grand Theft Auto VI looming just a few months away, the gaming world is bracing for what is undoubtedly the biggest entertainment event of the year. But behind the scenes, a quiet crisis is brewing for Rockstar Games.

A report published by data analytics firm Ampere Analysis reveals that while Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online can still draw massive crowds for short bursts, the game is suffering from a severe, long-term player retention problem. As Rockstar prepares to launch a new era of GTA Online alongside GTA VI, this steep drop-off rate poses a massive question: Can Rockstar convince a burnt-out player base to invest another decade into a new live-service ecosystem?

The Content Spikes vs. The Post-Update Exodus

The data paints a fascinating picture of modern player behavior. GTA Online still possesses an unparalleled ability to command cultural attention when it wants to. For instance, the release of the massive A Safehouse in the Hills update sparked a staggering 29% month-over-month increase in monthly active users on Xbox and PlayStation alone. During that month, GTA Online actively cannibalized the player bases of massive competitors, stealing attention away from staples like Fortnite, Call of Duty, Minecraft, and Roblox.

However, that gravity is fleeting. Once the novelty of a new update wears off, players don't just drift away—they exit en masse.

According to Ampere's historical tracking, GTA Online features one of the worst long-term retention rates among established live-service giants, consistently tracking double-digits lower than the likes of Roblox or Fortnite.

<colgroup><col style="width:183px;"><col style="width:123px;"><col style="width:366px;"></colgroup>

Timeframe Baseline

Starting Player Count

Retention 6 Months Later

April (Historical)

~20 Million

29% remaining (by October)

April 2025

~16 Million

25% remaining (by April 2026)

This means that within a half-year window, roughly 3 out of every 4 players who log in during peak periods abandon the game. While player counts initially spike with every seasonal drops, the "burnout threshold" is arriving faster and faster for the player base.

The 13-Year Fatigue Factor

To be fair to Rockstar, GTA Online is approaching its 13th year of active live-service duty. Keeping any community engaged for over a decade across three separate console generations is a feat almost entirely unmatched in the industry. It is entirely natural that interest would wane.

But the true challenge isn't saving the current iteration of GTA Online—it's formatting the next one.

When GTA 6 launches, its initial sales and player counts will shatter records; that much is guaranteed. The true gamble lies in the weeks and months after launch. Millions of players have already spent a decade grinding for millions of in-game dollars, buying virtual yachts, and running businesses in Los Santos. Will those players feel energized to start from scratch in a new setting, or will the looming shadow of grind fatigue cause them to abandon the next iteration of GTA Online even faster than the current one?

To buck this trend, Rockstar cannot simply rely on better graphics or a shiny new map. The data proves that the modern live-service gamer demands a fundamental evolution in how a game retains their attention. As the countdown to GTA 6 ticks away, all eyes are on how Rockstar plans to reinvent the wheel to keep players hooked for the next decade.

GTA Online Weekly Update: Massive 4x Payouts and a Free $500K Bonus This Week

In what can only be described as a misguided quest for internet clout, police were recently called to the Rockstar North headquarters in Edinburgh, Scotland, after a group of YouTubers attempted to infiltrate the building in search of Grand Theft Auto VI secrets.

A Clumsy Attempt at Corporate Espionage

According to a report from RockstarINTEL, a German YouTube collective explicitly targeted the Edinburgh studio, which serves as the lead development hub for Rockstar's flagship titles, including the highly anticipated GTA 6. The group documented their entire stunt, revealing that they flew to Scotland and booked a hotel directly across from the Rockstar North building to stake out the location.

The footage released by the creators shows several men simply walking through the front door of the facility. Because the main entrance is designed to be easily accessible for approved visitors and staff, the lobby itself is relatively open. However, their foray into "investigative journalism" was remarkably short-lived.

Swift Security and Police Involvement

Within seconds of entering the lobby, the group was intercepted and ejected by the building's security team. Recognizing the severity of the situation, security did not just toss them out—they contacted local law enforcement.

Police officers quickly arrived at the scene, took down the details of the individuals involved, and questioned them regarding the attempted breach.

A Disturbing Trend of Developer Harassment

While this stunt failed completely in uncovering any GTA 6 information, it highlights a growing and troubling trend within the gaming community. As anticipation for massive titles reaches a fever pitch, a subset of "fans" are increasingly crossing the line from enthusiastic to borderline harassing.

Developers at Rockstar have recently faced increased instances of people waiting outside their office buildings. This behavior isn't entirely unprecedented for the studio; during the development of previous games, fans went as far as flying drones near the office windows, forcing Rockstar to permanently pull down their blinds to protect confidential assets.

Ultimately, stunts like this are unlikely to yield any actual leaks—but they do carry serious legal consequences and put unnecessary stress on the people actually building the games we want to play.

Popular GTA Online Cheat Service Hacked, Exposing Tens of Thousands of Users

In a striking twist of digital irony, players who sought an unfair advantage in Grand Theft Auto Online are now finding themselves on the losing end. "Atlas Menu," a prominent and paid mod menu used for cheating in the popular multiplayer game, has suffered a massive data breach, exposing the sensitive personal information of thousands of its users to the public.

A Breach of "Trust" Among Cheaters

Atlas Menu built its reputation as a premium cheat service, heavily favored by exploiters for its ability to bypass BattlEye, the anti-cheat software that normally deters most other mod menus. However, the service's robust in-game defenses did not extend to its own backend security.

First reported by The Register, the Atlas Menu database was breached last month. In a catastrophic failure of data protection, the entirety of the stolen information was dumped in plain text on GitHub, making it freely accessible to anyone on the internet.

The Fallout: What Was Exposed?

According to data breach tracking platform Have I Been Pwned, the leak is extensive, compromising over 63,900 accounts. For a userbase that typically relies on anonymity to grief other players or manipulate the game’s economy without facing bans, the exposed data is a worst-case scenario.

The leaked database contains a treasure trove of sensitive information, including:

Email addresses and passwords

Real names and usernames

IP addresses

Rockstar Games Social Club usernames

Mod menu activation keys and signup dates

Support tickets and reseller logs

Additionally, the leak reportedly includes admin logs, lists of banned users, and various other internal records, laying bare the entire operational structure of the illicit service.

Revenge and Spyware Allegations

The individual claiming responsibility for the cyberattack stated that the hack was an act of revenge stemming from a scam. But the hacker's claims didn't stop at vigilantism.

In a concerning revelation for Atlas Menu users, the hacker alleged that the cheat software actually functions as spyware. According to these claims, the mod menu possesses the capability to secretly capture screenshots of a user's computer without their knowledge or permission. While players installed the software to ruin the experience of others in Los Santos, they may have unknowingly compromised their own digital privacy in the process.

The Aftermath

Following the severe security breach, the Atlas Menu website has been taken offline.

This incident adds another chapter to the ongoing battle against GTA Online exploiters. Last year, Rockstar Games' parent company, Take-Two Interactive, successfully issued takedowns against several mod menus, aggressively pursuing platforms that violate their terms of service. Now, it seems that even when the developers don't take down a cheat service, the volatile and unregulated nature of the cheating community might do the job for them.

For the tens of thousands of exposed cheaters, the consequences will likely extend far beyond a banned Rockstar account. With their plain-text passwords and IP addresses out in the wild, the price for an unfair advantage in Los Santos has suddenly become much steeper.

Take-Two Shuts Down Popular GTA Modding Platform RAGE:MP

The landscape of Grand Theft Auto V roleplay and multiplayer modding is undergoing a massive consolidation. Take-Two Interactive, the parent company of Rockstar Games, has officially requested the shutdown of RAGE:MP, one of the most popular alternatives to FiveM for custom GTA Online servers.

The move marks another major step by Take-Two and Rockstar to centralize the GTA V multiplayer modding community under a single, officially controlled umbrella following their acquisition of the FiveM development team (Cfx.re) last year. According to the Platform License Agreement, FiveM is now the only authorized platform for GTAV multiplayer modding.

The team behind RAGE:MP confirmed the news on their forums, detailing a staged wind-down process that will culminate in the total closure of the platform by the end of the summer.

The Shutdown Timeline

The RAGE:MP team, in coordination with Take-Two, has outlined a structured transition period to give server owners time to migrate their communities. Here are the key dates for the phase-out:

May 2026 (Immediate): The creation of new community servers is no longer allowed. Additionally, public access to the RAGE:MP server toolkit has been discontinued, though current server owners can still access their builds via the Server Manager.

June 1, 2026: The public server list will go dark. Players and server owners must ensure they can still log into the Server Manager prior to this date to retain access to necessary transitional tools.

August 31, 2026: RAGE:MP will become fully inoperable. The game client, server toolkit, and all backend infrastructure will be permanently shut down. Any servers that have not migrated by this date will be lost forever.

The Push to FiveM

Take-Two and Rockstar aren't just shutting down the competition; they are actively pushing server hosts toward their officially sanctioned platform. Server owners are being encouraged to migrate their communities to FiveM.

To facilitate the move, the Cfx.re team at Rockstar will be providing direct technical support to help current RAGE:MP server owners port their setups over.

A Consolidation of the Modding Scene

The demise of RAGE:MP doesn't come as a total shock to the community. Just a few months ago, another custom multiplayer client, alt:v, suffered the exact same fate.

It's clear that Take-Two is aggressively clearing the board of unauthorized third-party clients. By eliminating alternatives like alt:v and RAGE:MP, Rockstar ensures that as they gear up for the future—and eventually GTA 6—all custom multiplayer experiences and potential monetization avenues remain firmly within their own ecosystem.

A Goodbye from RAGE:MP

In their final message to the community, the developers behind RAGE:MP expressed their gratitude to the players and creators who helped build the platform over the years:

“We know this is tough news for everyone — both developers and players. As FiveM is now Rockstar Games' official platform for modding-based experiences, we've done our best to give you extra time to move your servers to their new home... All of us have put a huge amount of time and energy into building RAGE:MP. Thank you for being part of this journey and for everything you've done to help multiplayer grow. RAGE:MP was always defined more by the community than by the codebase.”

While RAGE:MP's independent run is coming to an end, its legacy will undoubtedly live on through the massive roleplay communities migrating to FiveM in the coming months.
